As a Mid-Level Anaplan Model Builder, you will collaborate with Solution Architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams to design, develop, and maintain Anaplan solutions that support business planning and reporting. We’re seeking a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills, a “get it done” mindset, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective and scalable solutions.
This position requires someone who can think critically, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve existing models and processes. Experience in Anaplan, Excel, data integration, software development, or application support is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Anaplan Model Development
- Build and enhance Anaplan models based on approved business requirements and solution designs.
- Develop modules, lists, line items, calculations, actions, processes, and saved views.
- Configure dashboards and user-facing pages in the Anaplan UX.
- Apply Anaplan best practices for model design, performance, and maintainability.
- Support model restructuring and optimization to improve model performance and usability.
- Requirements & Solution Support
- Participate in requirements gathering and clarification sessions with business users.
- Translate business requirements and process flows into Anaplan solutions.
- Work with Solution Architects to validate design approaches and identify potential model impacts.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications, build plans, and other project documentation.
- Testing & Deployment
- Perform unit testing and support system/integration testing and UAT.
- Investigate and resolve model issues identified during testing and production.
- Support ALM activities, including development, testing, and production deployments.
- Assist in release activities and post-deployment validation.
- Data & Integration
- Support data integration between Anaplan and external systems.
- Work with integration specialists on data imports, exports, actions, and integration requirements.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Troubleshoot data and integration-related issues within the Anaplan model.
- Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide ongoing support for existing Anaplan applications.
- Analyze reported issues and implement appropriate fixes or enhancements.
- Maintain technical documentation and model-related knowledge materials.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve model performance, and enhance user experience.
Must Have
- 2–4 years of hands-on software development experience, preferably in implementation and/or application support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
- Good understanding of Relational Database principles
- Knows MS Excel functionality (like lookup, Len, mod, offset, Sumif )
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach to challenges and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with Solution Architects and project teams.
