The Anaplan Model Builder is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise Anaplan solutions that enable effective planning, forecasting, and business decision-making. The role provides expert-level Anaplan model development, Level 3 (L3) application support, and data integration services to ensure scalable, high-performing, and reliable planning solutions aligned with business objectives and enterprise standards.
As a key member of the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) team, the role partners with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to translate business requirements into sustainable Anaplan models, drive continuous improvement, optimize system performance, and ensure the long-term stability, governance, and effectiveness of the organization's planning platform.
Responsibilities
- Model Build & Enhancement
- Lead end-to-end Anaplan solution design and hands-on model development.
- Own technical solution decisions, model architecture, and performance optimization
- Translate business requirements into scalable Anaplan designs
- Manage ALM processes, including development, test, and production environments
- Strong adherence to Anaplan best practices and governance standards
- Data Integration & Platform Enablement
- Design and implement data integrations using Anaplan Connect, APIs, or middleware tools
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with enterprise data standards
- Collaborate with client IT and data teams to support scalable integration architecture
- Model Maintenance & Support
- Maintain existing Anaplan models to ensure they run smoothly and accurately.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues or errors in the models.
- Client Engagement & Delivery
- Lead requirements workshops and solution design sessions with business stakeholders
- Lead requirements workshops and solution design sessions with business stakeholders
- Support UAT, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Conduct knowledge transfer or training sessions as required.
Must Have
- 3+ years of Anaplan modeling experience, including hands-on L3 support.
- Level 3 Anaplan Model Building Certification (Required)
- Anaplan Solution Architect Certification (preferred or in progress)
- Experience with supply chain management or relevant business processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Model performance optimization
- Sparsity management and calculation efficiency
- ALM and release management
Nice to have
- Minimum 3 years delivering Anaplan implementations
- Proven experience across multiple Anaplan use cases (FP&A, Management Report , S&OP, Sales Planning, Workforce Planning, etc.)
- Demonstrated ownership of solution design and model architecture decisions
- Experience with Anaplan data integration with external systems
